Close to sledding, skiing, hiking and more, this family-friendly apartment brings it all within reach. The 5-Star rated, 3 bedroom ground floor apartment (100 m2) is located on the sunny slope in Grindelwald. It is quiet, central and child friendly. Enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains and the north face of the Eiger. The bus stop to the cable cars, ski lifts (free ski bus) and to the village is directly in front of the house. So, you can leave your car at the property, which offers covered onsite parking, or jump in your vehicle to make short work of the 5-minute drive to Grindelwald “Terminal” cable cars.

After you return, unwind in the garden, or sip a drink on the south-facing deck directly facing the Eiger north-face. When you come inside, connect to the free WiFi or get cozy on the spacious sofa in front of the cable/satellite TV (video library available). There's also a DVD player and a stereo for your enjoyment. The apartment is bright, comfortable and modernly furnished. It features 2 double bedrooms (beds 200cm x 180cm each), 1 triple bedroom (bunk bed), 1 bathroom with shower/WC, 1 bathroom with bathtub/shower/WC. The modern kitchen is top equipped (including oven, microwave, dishwasher, raclette, fondue - cheese & meat, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, milk frother). Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and toilet paper.

And you won't have to pack extra clothes, because you'll have a washer and dryer, too. Furthermore, there are free of charge: bed sheets, crib, highchairs, sledges, toys, BBQ grill, ironing board, etc. A garage parking lot is available. Smoking in the house is not allowed. Dogs are not allowed, other pets on request.

Sleep

You can expect 3 comfortably furnished bedrooms with a total of up to 7 beds.

The corner bedroom is the largest at 12 square meters and offers you a magnificent view of the mountains when you wake up. A large kingsized double bed (2m x 1.80m) awaits you. There is enough storage space for your belongings. This bedroom also offers space for an additional children's (travel) bed, which we are happy to provide.

The 2nd bedroom is smaller at 8 square meters and also offers you a large double kingsized bed (2m x 1.80m) and a wardrobe. Here, too, you can enjoy a direct view of the north face of the Eiger.

The 3rd bedroom is designed as a children's room, but can also be used by adults. With 10 square meters it offers enough space to sleep and play. It offers a bunk bed and a pull-out additional single bed, each 2m x 0.9m. And of course a large wardrobe in which you and your children will also find many games and toys.

Wellness

The 2 bathrooms are comfortably designed and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable. They were completely renovated in 2022.

Bathroom 1 offers a double vanity, a toilet and a walk-in shower, which can also be used together, e.g. with a child. The shower is tiled with granite in a typical mountain style. You can also look forward to a wellness rain shower head so that the day can start perfectly.

Bathroom 2 offers a real river pebble washbasin, a toilet and a bathtub including a shower, also with a rain shower head. The bathroom is extremely cozy thanks to the many wooden elements and the wood look of the tiles.

In bathroom 2 and in the area behind the children's room you will find a towel/clothes warmer, which is particularly welcome after a day in the snow.

Incidentally, in bathroom 1 you will also find detergent for the washing machine. A dryer, iron and ironing board are of course also available.

Relax

After an eventful day in the mountains, relax on the comfortable sofa. Use the large and modern television, insert a DVD or enjoy your own music via the Bose Bluetooth system.

The TV has a recording function, which is why you will find various recorded films. Or browse through the available DVDs/Bluerays or watch the films you brought with you. Connect your smartphone or tablet to the Bose speaker via Bluetooth and enjoy your music.

The living/dining room has a large dining table that comfortably seats up to 7 people. High chairs for your children are available.

Eat

The open kitchen was completely reinstalled in 2022. It is modern and well equipped. Here you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. Start your day with a delicious breakfast, prepare a tasty lunch and for sure enjoy a self-prepared dinner.

Dishes, cutlery, etc. are available for more than 12 people, so that you don't have to constantly start the dishwasher... From water, wine and beer glasses, coffee and tea cups in different sizes to espresso cups and digestif glasses you have a wide choice. Of course there is also children's crockery for the little ones.

You will find a large ceramic hob, a modern stove, a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, milk frother, kettle - and of course the raclette, cheese fondue and meat fondue sets that are obligatory in Switzerland.

Outdoor

Enjoy a hearty breakfast, a light lunch or a leisurely dinner at the large dining table on the terrace.

Before or after your meal, make yourself comfortable in the outdoor lounge and enjoy an incomparable view of the north face of the Eiger and the surrounding mountains.

You are welcome to use the charcoal grill to prepare a wonderful BBQ. Or you can use the fire bowl for a cozy evening mood after sunset - that also creates a good atmosphere in winter! Wood and lighters are of course available.

Incidentally, on the terrace you and your children will also find a large box with various outdoor games, balls, badminton, water pistols, etc.

You are welcome to use the lawn in front of the terrace for sunbathing or playing.
